The Scientific Park of Lviv Polytechnic National University is a dynamic innovation ecosystem that has developed from an institutional idea into a strong platform connecting science, education, startups, business, public institutions, and international partners. It serves as one of Lviv Polytechnic’s key instruments for technology transfer, commercialization of research results, applied R&D, and the practical implementation of innovative solutions. The Scientific Park plays an important role in transforming academic knowledge and research ideas into real products, services, pilot projects, spin-offs, and partnerships. It supports cooperation between researchers, students, entrepreneurs, companies, public institutions, and international organizations, helping innovative ideas move from the university environment to practical implementation. In cooperation with Tech Startup School, the Scientific Park contributes to a complete innovation support cycle: from identifying promising ideas, developing entrepreneurial skills, mentoring teams, and supporting prototyping to building partnerships, attracting project opportunities, implementing R&D initiatives, and bringing solutions to the market. Over the past several years, the Scientific Park has been involved in a wide range of regional and international projects in areas such as unmanned aerial systems, robotics, hydrogen technologies, biotechnology, digital platforms for communities, simulation technologies, assistive mobility solutions, and food innovation. Examples of successful initiatives include Aquior, im2be, Dofamine, Pay4Victory, and other applied projects that demonstrate the university’s capacity to create practical and socially relevant innovations. The Scientific Park also strengthens cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and industry. It has developed partnerships with companies and organizations working in engineering, manufacturing, digital technologies, biotechnology, food innovation, and applied R&D. These partnerships support technology transfer, prototyping, testing, commercialization, and the development of solutions that respond to real market and societal needs. International cooperation is another important area of the Scientific Park’s work. It participates in Horizon Europe projects and international consortia, including West Ukraine EDIH, INPACE, Heat2Heat, LASER-PRO, and Excel4Pro. Through these initiatives, the Scientific Park supports digital transformation, green technologies, international research cooperation, innovation in the agri-food sector, and the integration of Lviv Polytechnic into European and global innovation networks. The Scientific Park has also contributed to the development of Lviv Polytechnic’s innovation infrastructure. This includes spaces and laboratories for rapid prototyping, biotechnology research, metal processing, robotics, inclusive technologies, and technical training. These facilities provide practical opportunities for students, researchers, startups, and partner organizations to test ideas, develop prototypes, conduct applied research, and prepare innovative products for implementation.
